The Kapālama Kai community is grateful for your patience and continued support of our local businesses throughout the construction of the Honolulu Rail Transit Project. Please be advised that Kohou Street is currently closed between Kaumuali‘i Street and Dillingham Boulevard 24/7 for both day and night work through July 2024.
You can still visit your favorite Kapālama Kai businesses by detouring around the Kohou Street closure. Navigation tips:
- To access parking for Kapālama Center, use the Kaumuali‘i Street entrance or Dillingham Boulevard entrances.
- To access Excellent Motors on the corner of Kaumuali‘i Street and Kohou Street, enter from the Dillingham Boulevard side.
- Kohou Street remains open on the ma kai side of Dillingham Boulevard, where you can access City Square Shopping Center.
These traffic modifications are required to safely perform the necessary work. Please refer to the map of alternate routes as street parking will be restricted and the sidewalks will be closed.
